The inscriptions along the rim framed by a circle of dots: at the top — "50 РУБЛЕЙ 1993 г." (50 RUBLES 1993), at the bottom — "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA).
Reverse
the picture of S.V. Rakhmaninov, to the left - a lyre and laurel branch, to the right - a Muse with a wreath. The inscriptions along the rim: at the top — "РОССИЯ И МИРОВАЯ КУЛЬТУРА" (RUSSIA AND WORLD CULTURE), at the bottom - "С.В.РАХМАНИНОВ" (S. V. RAKHMANINOV).

Sergei Vasilyevich Rakhmaninov (1873-1943) - a prominent Russian composer, conductor and pianist. A talented melodist and musical romanticist and philosopher, he is famous for his operas "Aleko", "The Miserly Knight" and "Francesca da Rimini" and romances, concertos for the piano, symphonies, cantatas, fantasias and musical poems.
