The 250th Anniversary of the Moscow Medicine Academy named for I.M. Sechenov

in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2009 г." (2009), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
to the left - the image of monument of I.M. Sechenov, to the right - the building of the Out-Patients Clinic (today - the Museum of Medicine History), lower- the inscription in two lines: "ОСНОВАНА В 1758 г." (FOUNDED IN 1758), inscription along the rim: "МОСКОВСКАЯ МЕДИЦИНСКАЯ АКАДЕМИЯ ИМЕНИ И.М. СЕЧЕНОВА" (MOSCOW MEDICINE ACADEMY NAMED FOR I.M. SECHENOV).

The Moscow Medicine Academy named for I.M. Sechenov is the inheritor of the Medical Faculty of the Imperial Moscow University which was opened in 1758 (later the Moscow University). In 1930, on the base of that Faculty The First Moscow Medical Institute has bin founded, in 1955 it was named for I.M. Sechenov - the scientists, founder of the Physiologic school.
