200th Anniversary of the Birth of P.K. Klodt
Obverse
the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ДВА РУБЛЯ» (TWO RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2005», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
a portrait of P.K. Klodt, lower – the dates in two lines «1805» «1867», to the left on a plinth – a naked athlete controlling a reared horse by means of the bridle. The inscription at the top along the rim – «П.К.КЛОДТ» (P.K. KLODT)
