Obverse
the mirror field of the disc bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, over it along the rim there is the semicircular inscription "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed on both sides by doubled rhombuses, below under the coat of arms there are indications of the precious metal and its fineness on the left and the fine metal content and the mint trade mark on the right, at the bottom in the centre, in three lines, there is an inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin "1 РУБЛЬ" (1 RUBLE), and the year of issue "2019 г." (2019).
Reverse
the mirror field of the disc features a relief image of the emblem of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia (Rostechnadzor) and a semicircular inscription ‘РОСТЕХНАДЗОР’ (ROSTECHNADZOR).

On 10 December 1719, Peter the Great decreed to establish the Collegium of Mining to develop mining in Russia and provide guidance and supervision over the mining industry. Before that, exploration and other mining-related activities had been a responsibility of local authorities. This laid the foundation for the Russian mining authority and its local agencies.
Currently, the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor) is a federal executive authority; it pursues the state policy and regulates industrial and nuclear supervision, controls and supervises the safety of subsoil works, ensures the industrial safety and the safe use of nuclear energy, the safety of electric and heating plants and systems, safe manufacturing, storage and use of industrial explosives, etc.
