on the mirror field of the disc in the centre the relief image of a Red Army soldier, in the background on the left the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin, on the right an armoured car, at the bottom along the rim the inscription "МОТОСТРЕЛКОВЫЕ ВОЙСКА" (MOTORIZED RIFLE TROOPS).
