200th Anniversary of Founding the Ministries in Russia

in the centre - the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ОДИН РУБЛЬ" (ONE RUBLE), at the bottom -the year of issue "2002", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

in the centre - the emblem of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the inscription along the rim "МИНИСТЕРСТВО ЮСТИЦИИ РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ" (THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION).

On September 8, 1802 Alexander I, the Emperor of the Russian Empire, issued the Manifesto according to which following ministries had been founded on the basis of the Administration of State Affairs: Military Land Forces, Naval Forces, Foreign Affairs, Justice, Internal Affairs, Finances, Commerce, Education. The Manifesto facilitated the formation of the Russian State and unified the system of the executive power bodies. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finances of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation are successors of the Ministries founded according to the Manifesto of Alexander I.
