Obverse

in the center — a view of the dome of the Senate building and the Saviour's Tower of the Moscow Kremlin, to the right - the mint trademark. The inscriptions along the rim framed by a circle of dots: at the top — «ОДИН РУБЛЬ 1993 г.» (ONE RUBLE 1993), at the bottom — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA).

Reverse

a portrait of V.V. Mayakovsky, to the left - the dates in the lines "1893" and "1930", under it - the poet's facsimile signature.

Vladimir Vladimirivich Mayakovsky (1893-1930) - a Russian poet, a leading representative of Russian futurism and innovator of poetic form (the poems "A Cloud in Trousers", "The Vertebrate Flute" and "Man"). He also wrote scathingly satirical plays and verses critical of the society infected with red tape, officialdom and hypocrisy.
