On 14 November 2023, the Bank of Russia issues one-ruble silver commemorative coins of the Russian Sports series:

— CSKA

— Dynamo

— Lokomotiv.

All Russian sports fans know these names. CSKA and the first proletarian sports society Dynamo were founded 100 years ago in spring 1923, and Lokomotiv — in January 1936. Many athletes from these sports societies have become champions. Today, tens of thousands of adults and young people go in for sports in these sports clubs across Russia.

The one-ruble silver coins (fine precious metal content 7.78 g, fineness 925/1,000) have a round shape and are 25.0 mm in diameter.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim around the circumference.

The obverse of the coins features a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) and ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coins ‘1 РУБЛЬ’ (1 RUBLE), the year of issue ‘2023 г.’ (2023), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the Saint Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.

The reverse of:

— of the CSKA coin (Catalogue No. 5109-0132) features a relief emblem of the Central Sports Army Club;

— of the Dynamo coin (Catalogue No. 5109-0133) features a relief emblem of the sports association Dynamo and the relief inscription ‘ДИНАМО’ (DYNAMO) around the upper circumference;

— of the Lokomotiv coin (Catalogue No. 5109-0134) features a relief emblem of the sports association Lokomotiv and the relief inscription ‘ЛОКОМОТИВ’ (LOKOMOTIV) around the upper circumference.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The coins are minted in proof quality.

The mintage of each of the coins is 10,000 pcs.

The new coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation and are mandatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at its face value.
