On issuing of commemorative coins of precious and base metals

On July 31, 2018 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious and base metals „Just You Wait!” of the series „Russian (Soviet) Animation”:

• Silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (catalogue number 5111-0387, mintage 3,000 pcs).
• Base metals coins in denomination of 25 Roubles in a regular edition design (catalogue number 5015-0025, mintage 450,000 pcs) and a special edition design (catalogue number 5015-0026, mintage 50,000 pcs).

Description of the coin of precious metal:

The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925/1000, and diameter 39.0 mm) has the rim raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The obverse side of the coin bears a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation. There are inscriptions: „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin „3 РУБЛЯ” (3 ROUBLES) and the year „2018”, an indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, purity, the mint trade mark and fine precious metal content.

The reverse side of the coin depicts a relief image of the scene from the animated film „Just You Wait!” featuring the Wolf and the Hare performed in colour. The inscription above along the rim reads: „НУ, ПОГОДИ!” (JUST YOU WAIT!).

Description of the coins of base metals:

The base metals coins in denomination of 25 Roubles are white in colour (diameter 27.0 mm), have the rim raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference. The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The obverse side of the coins bears a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the semicircular inscription „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) above it. There are inscriptions in three lines: „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin „25 РУБЛЕЙ” (25 ROUBLES) and the year „2018”, and the mint trade mark on the right.

The reverse side:

• of the coin in a regular edition depicts a relief image of the scene from the animated film „Just You Wait!” featuring the Wolf and the Hare. The inscription above along the rim reads: „НУ, ПОГОДИ!” (JUST YOU WAIT!).

• of the coin in a special edition depicts a relief image of the scene from the animated film „Just You Wait!” featuring the Wolf and the Hare performed in colour. The inscription above along the rim reads: „НУ, ПОГОДИ!” (JUST YOU WAIT!).

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
