On issuing of coins of precious and base metals
On November 2, 2015 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of:
Precious metals:
- A silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles — „Livadia Palace (Nikolay Petrovich Krasnov)” (catalogue number
5115-0114) of the series „Architectural Masterpieces of Russia”;
Base metals:
- In denomination of 10 Roubles — „Kalach-on-Don”, „Kovrov”, „Lomonosov” of the series „Towns of Martial Glory”.
Description of the coin of precious metals:
A silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles (fine metal content 155.5 g, fineness 925/1000, diameter 60.0 mm, mintage 1500 pcs) has the rim raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated.
The obverse: a relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia — a two-headed eagle with wings down, and a semicircular inscription under it „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed with a circle of beads. Inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin „ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ” (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES) and the year of issue „2015”, between them there is an indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, purity, trade mark of the Saint Petersburg mint and fine precious metal content.

The reverse side of the coin bears relief images of a portrait of an architect N.P. Krasnov on the left, Livadia palace in the center and a capital below performed in colour. There is an inscription in two lines under the portrait — „НИКОЛАЙ ПЕТРОВИЧ КРАСНОВ” (NIKOLAY PETROVICH KRASNOV).

Description of the coins of base metals:
Coins in denomination of 10 Roubles are 22.0 mm in diameter, yellow in colour and have the rim raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference. The edge of the coins is corrugated, each section contains different number of corrugations alternating with smooth sections.
The obverse: in the upper part of the coins there is an inscription along the circumference — „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), in the lower part — the year of issue „2015”. On the left and on the right there are stylized images of laurel and oak branches respectively. In the center of the disc there is an indication of the face value of the coins „10 РУБЛЕЙ” (10 ROUBLES) in two lines. Inside the figure „0” there is a protective element in the form of the figure „10” and an inscription „РУБ” (RUB) visible when changing angles of vision. In the lower part of the disc there is a trademark of a mint.

The reverse side:
- of the first coin has a relief image of Kalach-on-Don emblem. There are inscriptions along the circumference — „ГОРОДА ВОИНСКОЙ СЛАВЫ” (TOWNS OF MARTIAL GLORY) on top and „КАЛАЧ-НА-ДОНУ” (KALACH-ON-DON) at the bottom;

- of the second coin has a relief image of Kovrov emblem. There are inscriptions along the circumference — „ГОРОДА ВОИНСКОЙ СЛАВЫ” (TOWNS OF MARTIAL GLORY) on top and „КОВРОВ” (KOVROV) at the bottom;

- of the third coin has a relief image of Lomonosov emblem. There are inscriptions along the circumference — „ГОРОДА ВОИНСКОЙ СЛАВЫ” (TOWNS OF MARTIAL GLORY) on top and „ЛОМОНОСОВ” (LOMONOSOV) at the bottom.

The mintage of the coins is 10000000 pcs of each design.
The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
