Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins of precious metals

On 30 April 2020, the Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins ‘The Complex of the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ’ of the series ‘75th Anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 1941—1945’:

— two silver 3-ruble coins;

— a gold 50-ruble coin.

The silver 3-ruble coins (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925) and the gold 5-ruble coin (fine metal content 7.78 g, fineness 999) have a round shape and are 39.0 mm and 22.6 mm in diameter respectively.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim along the circumference.

The obverse of the coin features a relief image of the national emblem of the Russian Federation and inscriptions ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) and ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), coin denominations ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES) and ’50 РУБЛЕЙ’ (50 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2020 г.’ (2020), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the St. Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.

The reverse:

— of the 3-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5111–0421) features a relief image of the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ; and the inscriptions ‘ГЛАВНЫЙ ХРАМ ВООРУЖЕННЫХ СИЛ РОССИИ’ (THE MAIN CHURCH OF THE RUSSIAN ARMED FORCES) at the top and ‘ХРАМ ВОСКРЕСЕНИЯ ХРИСТОВА’ (THE CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST) at the bottom along the circumference.

The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The coin is minted in proof quality.

The mintage of the coin is 4.0 thousand pcs;

— of the 3-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5111–0422) features a relief image of the memorial ‘The Road of Memory’ and the number ‘75’ above it; and the inscription ‘ДОРОГА ПАМЯТИ’ (THE ROAD OF MEMORY) at the top along the circumference.

The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The coin is minted in proof quality.

The mintage of the coin is 4.0 thousand pcs;

— of the 50-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5216–0121) features a relief image of the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ; and the inscriptions ‘ГЛАВНЫЙ ХРАМ ВООРУЖЕННЫХ СИЛ РОССИИ’ (THE MAIN CHURCH OF THE RUSSIAN ARMED FORCES) at the top and ‘ХРАМ ВОСКРЕСЕНИЯ ХРИСТОВА’ (THE CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST) at the bottom along the circumference.

The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The coin is minted in proof quality.

The mintage of the coin is 1.5 thousand pcs.
