The obverse and the reverse of the coin have a relief rim around the circumference.
The obverse of the coin bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination: ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES), the year of issue: ‘2022 г.’ (2022), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the St. Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.

The reverse of the coin bears a relief image of the building of the Nizhny Tagil Museum Preserve ‘Gornozavodskoi Ural’ (Mining and Metallurgical Ural), and images of the former iron and steel plant, which is currently a museum of the history of the development of ferrous metallurgy equipment and machinery, and the watchtower atop of Lisya Mountain, laser treated for matte finishing. Below, against a matted background, there are relief inscriptions: around the circumference — ‘НИЖНИЙ ТАГИЛ’ (NIZHNY TAGIL), and above it in two lines — ‘300 ЛЕТ’ (300 YEARS).

The edge of the coin is corrugated.
The coin is minted in proof quality.
The mintage of the coin is 3.0 thousand pcs.
The new coin is legal tender of the Russian Federation and is mandatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at its face value.
