On revocation of insurance licence

19 November 2014
Press release

The Bank of Russia took a decision to revoke the insurance licence from the closed joint-stock company EUROSIB-INSURANCE (new name: closed joint-stock company PROTECTION-INSURANCE; registration number in the unified state register of insurance agents 2240; location address: 69 Bakuninskaya Street, bldg. 1, Moscow, 105082, TIN 7704012319, PSRN 1027700003473)

This decision is taken due to the failure of CJSC PROTECTION-INSURANCE to timely remove violations of the insurance legislation which served as ground for suspending the insurance licence and becomes effective the day of its publication in the Bank of Russia Bulletin, the official edition of the Bank of Russia.

Due to the revocation of licence CJSC PROTECTION-INSURANCE is obliged:

to take a decision on the termination of the insurance activity in accordance with the Russian legislation;

to meet its obligations arising from insurance (reinsurance) contracts, including the payment of insurance benefits under insurance claims;

to transfer liabilities taken under insurance (reinsurance) contracts, and/or to cancel these contracts.

CJSC PROTECTION-INSURANCE shall inform the insured persons on the revocation of its licence, early termination of insurance (reinsurance) contracts and/or transfer of liabilities taken under insurance contracts to another insurer within a month after the decision on the revocation of licence becomes effective.

Starting 21 August 2014, a provisional administration operates in CJSC PROTECTION-INSURANCE, Pavel S. Zamalaev (mailing address: PO Box 3, 47 Arbat Street, Moscow, 119002), member of non-profit partnership Self-Regulatory Organisation of Receivers of the Central Federal District (address: 3 Ostapovsky Passage, bldg. 6, Moscow, 109316, office 201), has been appointed as a head of the provisional administration.

The Bank of Russia controls the activity of the provisional administration under the established procedure.
