On issuing of commemorative coin of precious metals
On December 15, 2015 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues a commemorative coin of precious metals:
- A silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (catalogue number
5111-0310) „Issue of the first payment cards of the National payment system of the Russian Federation”.
Description of the coin of precious metals:
A silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925/1000, length 51.0 mm, width 32.0 mm, mintage 5000 pcs) has a rectangular form with rounded angles and the rim raised on both sides of the coin along the perimeter. The edge of the coin is corrugated.
The obverse side of the coin bears a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation. There are inscriptions: „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin „3 РУБЛЯ” (3 ROUBLES) and the year — „2015”, an indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, purity, trade mark of the Saint Petersburg mint and fine precious metal content.

The reverse side of the coin reproduces an image of a payment card „World” of the National system of payment cards with requisites and elements traditional for payment cards design. There is an inscription on top: „ВЫПУСК ПЕРВОЙ ПЛАТЕЖНОЙ КАРТЫ НСПК” (ISSUE OF THE FIRST PAYMENT CARD NSPK).

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
