Information Notice

The External and Public Relations Department of the Bank of Russia announces that the monetary base (narrow definition) equalled 1465.8 bn. rubles as of November 1, 2004, against 1489.3 bn. rubles as of October 25, 2004.

The monetary base (narrow definition) consists of the currency issued by the Bank of Russia (including cash in vaults of credit institutions) and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Bank of Russia.
