On updating list of official websites of credit institutions as of 31 March 2015

In order to counteract consumers’ confusion about banking services through the use of false websites, which could be practically identical to the authentic sites of credit institutions in their contents and design, the Bank of Russia informs that the list of official websites of credit institutions was updated as of 31 March 2015 in the section Information on Credit Institutions / Credit Institution Directory / Websites of Credit Institutions of the Bank of Russia website.

The Bank of Russia notifies of the launch of false website http://akbarc.ru, the homepage of which imitates the one of the official website of the credit institution https://online.akbars.ru used for remote banking. The said website may be used by its owners for illegitimate purposes and constitute a menace to the users, primarily customers of OJSC AK BARS BANK (Reg. No. 2590).
