Loans to small- and medium-sized enterprises grow by 22.6% in 2020

In December 2020, the portfolio of loans provided by banks to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continued to grow and as of 1 January 2021 amounted to 5.8 trillion rubles.

The share of overdue debt on such loans decreased from 11.9% to 11% last year.

In total, SMEs received loans worth 7.6 trillion rubles in 2020. At the same time, in December, the volume of loans issued was the highest in the last two years and amounted to 942 billion rubles.

Weighted average interest rates on loans in rubles in December 2020 declined compared to December 2019: to 8.10% p.a. for loans up to one year and to 7.62% p.a. for long-term loans.
