Counterfeit money detection: 2020 Q1 statistics

As before, for the most part, counterfeit banknotes are distributed among 5,000-ruble notes (8,632 sheets) and 1,000-ruble notes (1,893 sheets). Counterfeit 10-ruble notes are the rarest (2 pieces). The identified counterfeit coins include 10-ruble (134 pieces) and 5-ruble ones (16 pieces).

469 counterfeit foreign banknotes were identified in 2020 Q1, which is 12.7% less than in 2019 Q4. The majority of counterfeit banknotes were US dollars (410 sheets). Counterfeit euros (42 sheets) and Chinese yuan (17 sheets) notes were also detected.
