Bank of Russia Takes Part in Russian National Financial Literacy Week

Employees of the Head Office, Main and Regional Branches of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation deliver open lessons and lectures in schools, colleges and universities.

Moreover, pupils in Krasnodar Territory schools enjoy interactive games focused on drafting a personal financial plan. Ural Main Branch representatives will tell the pupils of a boarding school about signs of Bank of Russia banknotes authenticity and give a lecture 'Bank cards and how to use them safely" for seniors. The Bank of Russia Division for the City of Sevastopol included in the plan of the Week brief lectures on money circulation delivered in some city supermarkets.

Division — National Bank of the Republic of Bashkortostan will introduce local journalists to current online and mobile banking security technologies and to the features of personal account management. Media representatives will learn about tricks employed by modern fraudsters and how to avoid them.

Volga-Vyatka Main Branch of the Bank of Russia and Divisions of Astrakhan,Tomsk and Barnaul will organise excursions to local Bank of Russia museum and exposition funds. Ural Main Branch will arrange the museum guided tour "Money Circulation in Russia in 18th-21st Century" for college students majoring in economics.

Two thematic exhibitions are open for Moscow secondary school and university students: "Russian Ruble: Milestones" and "Bank of Russia History Chapters".

The Week is taking place as a part of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation project Raising the Level of Financial Literacy of the Population and Financial Education in the Russian Federation.

This year's Financial Literacy Week events are taking place 14-22 March.
