New commemorative coins are issued

On 15 March 2016, the Bank of Russia issues coins of base metals. 10 coin ‘the Belgorod Region’ is available under The Russian Federation series. The reverse side of the coin has a relief image of an emblem of the Belgorod Region encircled by inscriptions „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) at the top and „БЕЛГОРОДСКАЯ ОБЛАСТЬ” (THE BELGOROD REGION) at the bottom. As many as 39 commemorative coins have been issued under the series.

The mintage of the coin is 10.0 million pcs.

10 coin ‘Staraya Russa’ is available under Towns of Martial Glory series. The reverse side of the coin has a relief image of an emblem of Staraya Russa encircled by a ribboned inscription „ГОРОДА ВОИНСКОЙ СЛАВЫ” (TOWNS OF MARTIAL GLORY) at the top and an inscription „СТАРАЯ РУССА” (STARAYA RUSSA) at the bottom. As many as 41 coins have been in circulation under the series, the most recent coins were issued on 18 December 2015.

The mintage of the coin is 10.0 million pcs.

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
