SBP transfers soar: 2024 Q2 results

In 2024 Q2, individuals made almost 2.3 billion transfers worth ₽13.4 trillion via the Faster Payments System (SBP). As compared with 2024 Q1, the number of transfers increased by 27% and their amount — by 47%.
One of the reasons behind these dynamics may be the fact that, since 1 May 2024, individuals have been allowed to transfer up to ₽30 million per month between their accounts with different banks free of charge, which many people prefer to do via the SBP.
