Bank of Russia changes procedure for banks to take out foreign cash abroad

Since 27 April 2024 the mechanism has been simplified for credit institutions to obtain the regulator’s permit to take out foreign cash abroad.
Banks are no longer obliged to simultaneously submit to the Bank of Russia both opinions on established criteria of damages and an application for taking out worn-out or damaged banknotes.
