Monitoring businesses: economic activity trending up

The ongoing growth of economic activity is evidenced by the increase in the Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index to 7.3 points in February from 7.0 points in January. Current estimates for the output of goods and services improved, whereas current demand estimates edged down. Companies’ short-term expectations for business conditions became more positive than in the previous month.
