On 23 January 2018, the Bank of Russia issues a silver-proof commemorative coin in denomination of 25 rubles «Творчество Владимира Высоцкого» (‘Creative Work of Vladimir Vysotsky’).
The coin is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the poet, actor, song writer and singer.
The reverse of the coin features Vladimir Vysotsky holding a guitar with horses on the backdrop, a sword on his left and life years 1938-1980 on his right. Along the top rim there is an inscription «ВЛАДИМИР ВЫСОЦКИЙ» (‘VLADIMIR VYSOTSKY’).
The mintage of the coin is 1500 pcs.
Another coin dedicated to Vladimir Vysotsky, «Поэт, актер В.С. Высоцкий» (‘Poet and actor V.S. Vysotsky’) is to be issued this year in the Outstanding Personalities of Russia series. This will be another silver-proof coin in denomination of 2 rubles.
