Bank of Russia and Central Bank of Mongolia hold interbank consultations
From 29 - 30 June 2017, representatives of major Russian and Mongolian credit institutions and the central banks of the two countries held a meeting in Ulaanbaatar to discuss priorities in interbank cooperation.
Key topics of the agenda included the mutual opening of correspondence accounts by credit institutions and the promotion of foreign trade settlements between the two countries.
Also in attendance were representatives of the Russian Embassy in Mongolia and international financial institutions.
In the course of the discussions, Mr Bayartsaikhan, chairman of Mongolia’s Central Bank, stressed the importance of these events, which are essential to the advancement of Russian-Mongolian interbank cooperation. This cooperation would, in turn, contribute to the development of trade and investment interaction between the two countries.
