Agenda of XXVI International Financial Congress published

The key topic of the XXVI International Financial Congress (IFC) to be held on 12-14 July 2017 in St. Petersburg is Finance and Development.

The IFC-2017 is to host more than 30 sessions dedicated to economic development, the financial sector’s role in this process and important issues regarding regulation and supervision in the financial market.

This year the congress will once again bring together representatives of credit and non-bank financial institutions and regulators in an open and trust-based dialogue about the Central Bank’s capabilities to ensure long-term economic growth, the outline of reforms which are crucial for the market, drivers for growth in individual sectors of the financial market.

Attention will be paid to the issues that will determine the path for the global and financial market’s development in the coming years. They include innovations in the financial sector, information security, corporate data management and development of macroprudential regulation.

The IFC will be attended by the Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina and high-ranking representatives of central (national) banks of a number of countries (Finland, Croatia, Singapore, Malaysia and Armenia), as well as representatives of the IMF, the ECB and the Financial Stability Board will share their best practices. The foreign business community will be represented by leading financial experts, researchers and consultants.

Over 150 experts will moderate and speak at the session: Jacob Frenkel, Chairman of JP Morgan Chase Int., Stephen Cecchetti, Professor of Global Finance at Brandeis International Business School, Erkki Liikanen, Governor of the Bank of Finland, Peter Stella, founder of Stellar Consulting, Antonio Spilimbergo, Assistant Director of the IMF European Department, Marek Belka, prominent Polish economist, Igor Yurgens, President of the All-Russian Insurance Association, Alexei Kudrin, Board Chairman of the Centre for Strategic Research, Herman Gref, Chairman of the Executive Board at PJSC Sberbank, Mikhail Zadornov, Chairman of the Executive Board of VTB 24 (PJSC), Mikhail Alekseev, Chairman of the Executive Board of JSC UniCredit Bank, Oleg Vyugin, Chairman of the Board of Directors at NAUFOR, and other participants. The Bank of Russia management will continue their participation in all the discussions at the IFC.

The congress is held by the Bank of Russia and run by the Roscongress Foundation.
