Obverse

on the mirror field of the disc - the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, over it – the semicircular inscription along the rim: "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION), below under the coat of arms in two lines: to the left – indications of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, its purity and the ordinal number sign of the coin № ___, to the right – the indication of the fine metal content and the mint trade mark, on bottom in the centre in two lines – the denomination of the coin: "10000 РУБЛЕЙ" (10000 ROUBLES) and the date: "2014 г." (2014).

Reverse

on the matted field of the disc – the relief allegoric image of Matsesta in appearance of an young lady with antique clothes on holding a pitcher on her shoulder and poring water out of it, around her along the rim – figures of sportsmen, representing winter sports disciplines: figure skating, skeleton, snowboard, freestyle, cross-country skiing, short track speed skating and curling, below in two lines – the inscription: "СОЧИ" (SOCHI) and the date: "2014", under them – five Olympic rings.
