The Saint Nicholas Cathedral (XIXth Century) of the City of Yakutsk
Obverse
in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2008 г." (2008), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
in the centre - image of the Saint Nicholas Cathedral framed by frosted pattern, to the right - the date: "XIX в." (the XIXth century), inscriptions along the rim, above: "ГРЯДОЯКУТСКИЙ НИКОЛЬСКИЙ СОБОР." (THE SAINT NICHOLAS CATHEDRAL OF THE CITY OF YAKUTSK), below: "ЯКУТСК" (YAKUTSK).

The Saint Nicholas Cathedral was built in the City of Yakutsk in 1828. Its erection has been sponsored by eminent citizens of the city. Renovated in 1976 the Cathedral was included into the register of the architectural monuments of Yakutiya
