Obverse
in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2006», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
to the left – the images of a snowflake, skis and a hockey-stick standing upright, from the left to the right – a crooked line remained by a figure skate featured at the bottom. The inscription in the centre in two lines – «ТУРИН 2006» (TORINO 2006), to the left – outlines of the tower’s silhouette Mole Antonelliana, a symbol of Torino. The inscription at the top along the rim: «XX ОЛИМПИЙСКИЕ ЗИМНИЕ ИГРЫ» (XX OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES).
