Obverse
in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2005», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
view of the Virgin Monastery of Raifa, lower – the inscription in two lines: «ОСН. в XVII в. ТАТАРСТАН» (FOUNDED in the XVIIth century TATARSTAN). The inscription along the rim – «РАИФСКИЙ БОГОРОДИЦКИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ» (THE VIRGIN MONASTERY OF RAIFA).

The ensemble of the Virgin Monastery of Raifa includes the Cathedral of the St. Virgin’s Icon from Georgia, Trinity Cathedral, the belfry and the Holy Gates with the Churchof St. Michael the Archangel as well as the Church in Honour of the Saint Fathers beaten up in Raifa and Sinai.
