Obverse

a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and a semicircular inscription above it along the rim: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed with paired diamonds on both sides, under the coat of arms there are the chemical symbol of the metal and fineness on the left and fine metal content and the mint trade mark on the right, at the bottom in the centre, in three lines, there is an inscription: ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination: ‘2 РУБЛЯ’ (2 RUBLES), and the year of issue: ‘2023 г.’ (2023).

Reverse

Mikhail Prishvin (1873–1954) was a Russian novelist and an author of stories and essays about nature. His first story (‘Sashok’) was published in 1906. In 1912–1914, the writer published his first collection of works. During the First World War, Prishvin was a corpsman and a front-line reporter. From 1923 and until his death, he was writing an autobiographical novel ‘Kashcheeva Tsep’. The novelist was a traveller. He visited the Far East, the Far North, Karelia, collecting folklore and ethnographic notes that he reflected in his own creative works.
