International Cooperation
In order to efficiently carry out its tasks the Bank of Russia attaches great importance to the international economic relations.
The Bank of Russia participates in development of international standards, maintains relations with other central banks as well as financial market regulators, analyzes recent world economy developments and communicates with institutional investors.
The Bank of Russia international cooperation is focused on four main areas:
- Multilateral cooperation (engaging with international institutions such as IMF, BIS, BCBS, OECD, IOSCO, etc.);
- Bilateral cooperation (engaging with other central banks as well as financial market authorities);
- Promoting regional financial integration (cooperating with Eurasian Economic Commission, Interstate Bank, Eurasian Development Bank, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, etc.);
- Investor relations.
The International Cooperation Department is responsible for coordination of all international communications of the Bank of Russia.
