Bank of Russia issues new commemorative coins

On 28 December 2017, the Bank of Russia issues two silver commemorative coins in denomination of 3 rubles — „Жар-птица” (‘Firebird’) and „Царевна-лягушка” (‘Frog Princess’) of the Legends and Folktales of Russia series. The mintage of each coin is 5,000 pcs.

Moreover, the Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins „Три богатыря” (‘Three Heroes’) and „Винни Пух” (‘Winnie-the-Pooh’) dedicated to Russian (Soviet) animation.

These coins will be presented in three designs:

— silver coins in denomination of 3 rubles (3,000 pcs);

— base metal coins in denomination of 25 rubles in a regular and special design. The mintage is 450,000 and 50,000 pcs respectively.

The Bank of Russia also issues commemorative silver coins of the Diamond Fund of Russia series.

Two coins in denomination of 3 rubles: the reverse of one coin features a port-bouquet, and the reverse of the other coin bears an image of a bande esclavage. The mintage of each coin is 3,000 pcs.

Two coins in denomination of 25 rubles featuring a bande esclavage in a regular and special design. The mintage is 850 and 150 pcs respectively.

Another commemorative silver coin in denomination of 1 ruble is dedicated to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The mintage is 3,000 pcs.
