Obverse

the mirror field of the disc bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, over it along the rim there is the semicircular inscription "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed on both sides by doubled rhombuses, below under the coat of arms there are indications of the precious metal and its fineness on the left and the fine metal content and the mint trade mark on the right, at the bottom in the centre, in three lines, there is an inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin "1 РУБЛЬ" (1 RUBLE), and the year of issue "2019 г." (2019).

Reverse

the mirror field of the disc bears a relief image of the emblem of the nuclear support units and the inscription along the rim: ‘СОЕДИНЕНИЯ И ВОИНСКИЕ ЧАСТИ ЯДЕРНОГО ОБЕСПЕЧЕНИЯ’ (NUCLEAR SUPPORT UNITS).

Nuclear support units of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation deal with a range of tasks, the major ones of which are: establishment and replenishment of required nuclear stockage at the Armed Forces; maintaining nuclear preparedness; timely supply of nuclear ammunition (nuclear weapons) to nuclear combat units; ensuring security and integrity of nuclear weapons and ammunition; prevention of unauthorised operations with nuclear weapons and ammunition. Nuclear ammunition supply to the Armed Forces is organised and carried out by the 12th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
