Obverse

in the centre of the disc there is the denomination of the coin ‘10 РУБЛЕЙ’ (10 RUBLES), inside the figure ‘0’ there is a hidden number ‘10’ and an inscription ‘РУБ’ (RUB) visible by turns when the angle of vision changes, below is a mint trade mark; on the ring above there is an inscription ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), below is the year of issue ‘2020’, on the left and on the right there are stylised images of plant branches going over to the disc.

Reverse

a relief image of the emblem of the Ryazan Region encircled by inscriptions, divided by dots: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) at the top and ‘РЯЗАНСКАЯ ОБЛАСТЬ’ (RYAZAN REGION) at the bottom.

The Ryazan Region is a constituent territory of the Russian Federation situated in the centre of the European part of Russia. It was established in 1937. Its area is 39.6 thousand square kilometres, with the population of 1126.7 thousand people (as of 2017). Its administrative centre is the city of Ryazan.

The Ryazan Region is rich in natural resources: limestone, marl, coal clay, high-melting clay and sands. Its most valuable resources are cement limestone, glass-making and silica sand. The land also has deposits of phosphate rock, gyprock, iron stone, coal, and mineral pigments. The most important natural treasure is the huge layer of high-quality peat. More than 500 large natural bodies of water with vast sapropelic deposits.

About one third of the area is covered by forests. The region also has the globally important Oka Nature Reserve and a national state nature park.

The Ryazan Region is a unique cultural reserve with an exceptional music, song writing, dance, national and poetry traditions and rituals, and with flaming colours of national costumes, arts and crafts.

The landmarks of the Ryazan Region are one-of-a-kind church architectural sites, manors, manufacturing buildings and merchant mansions. The area boasts about 1200 architectural landmarks and more than 2200 archaeology artefacts.
