Obverse

in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)], over the emblem in а semicircle- the denomination: "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ ТЫСЯЧ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND RUBLES), under it - the year of issue "2009 г." (2009), in the centre indications, to the left - of the precious metal, its fineness and the mint trade mark, to the right - the fine metal content and the ordinal number sign of the coin №__ , lower against а background of the guillochis elements - images of banknotes and coins, along the rim - а concentric line with four decorative elements.

Reverse

in the upper segment of the mirror surface of the disc to the right - images of two men in scene of bargaining and of lot of fur between them, to the left - two floating vessels on the river and the Peter and Paul Fortress, in the lower segment - against the background of 8 wavy lines - images of 10 coins. On the matted surface - inscription along the rim: "ИСТОРИЯ ДЕНЕЖНОГО ОБРАЩЕНИЯ РОССИИ" (THE HISTORY OF RUSSIAN CURRENCY).
