The 2nd Kamchatka Expedition, 1733-1743
Obverse
in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «СТО РУБЛЕЙ» (ONE HUNDRED RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2004», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
a shaman performing a ritual dance, before him –two sitting persons, to the left and to the right fromhim – the dates on a ribbon «1733» «1743», in the background: to the left – two tents, to the right –a sailing ship. The inscription along the rim – «2ая КАМЧАТСКАЯ ЭКСПЕДИЦИЯ» (THE 2nd KAMCHATKA EXPEDITION).

The participants of the 2nd Kamchatka Expedition (1733 – 1743) sailed by «Saint Peter» and «Saint Paul» sailing boats under command of navigators Vitus Bering and A.I. Chirikov reached the shores of the North America, discovered several islands of the Aleutian chine and Commander Islands as well.
