in the center - the Emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle designed by I.Bilibin, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA) framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ" (FIFTY RUBLES), at the bottom - the date "2000", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the alloy standard, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
in an oval - the half-length portrait of A.V.Suvorov dressed in the ceremonial uniform, lower - cannons, sables, standards, at the top- the inscription along the rim: "ГЕНЕРАЛИССИМУС А.В. СУВОРОВ" (GENERALISSIMO A.V.SUVOROV), at the bottom - the dates on a ribbon "1730" "1800".

Alexandr Vasilyevich Suvorov (b. 1730 d. 1800) - Russian military commander, generalissimo, author of strategic and military works: "The Regimental Founding", "The Science of Victory". He started the military service as a corporal in 1748, participated in the Seven Years' War (1756-1763), Russo-Turkish wars (1768-1774 and 1787-1791), headed Russian troops during the Italian and Swiss Сampaigns (1799). He had not lost a single battle.
