the architectural monuments of the Monastery in a frame of a stylized image of hills covered by vegetation; the inscriptions in the centre in three lines: «ПСКОВО-ПЕЧЕРСКИЙ СВЯТО-УСПЕНСКИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ» (THE PSKOV-PECHERSKY HOLY MONASTERY OF THE ASSUMPTION), to the right – the date «XVв.» (the XVth century).

The Pskov-Pechersky Holy Monastery of the Assumption was founded in the XVth century in the caves. It is enclosed by the fortress wall with 9 towers. The architectural ensemble of the monastery consists of the Cave Assumption Church (1473), the Annunciation Church (1514), the Saint Nikolaus Gate Church (1565) and the two-storeyed Bell Tower (XVIth- XVIIth centuries). The monastery is located in the Town of Pechory, Pskov Region. In the XVIth-XVIIth centuries it was one of the important defence points on western border of the Russian State.
