in the center - the Emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle designed by I.Bilibin, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA) framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE RUBLES), at the bottom - the date "2000", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the alloy standard, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark
Reverse
to the left - A.V.Suvorov standing near hostilities maps, to the right: at the bottom - a group of soldiers with a standard-bearer during a fight, at the top - the scene of a fortress during an assault, in the background - outlines of sailing-ships, at the bottom in the central - cannons, sables, standards, at the top- the inscription along the rim: "А.В. СУВОРОВ" (A.V.SUVOROV).

During the Russo-Turkish wars 1768-1774 and 1787-1791 the Russian army headed by A.V.Suvorov won victories near Kozludji (1774), Kinburn (1787), Foсsani (1789), Rоmnic (1789) and took the stronghold of Izmail by storm (1790).
