Obverse

in the center - the Emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle designed by I.Bilibin, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA) framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom - the date "2000", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

to the left - a goal net and the vertical inscription made from the bottom to the top : "БЕЛЬГИЯ ГОЛЛАНДИЯ" (BELGIUM HOLLAND) divided by a dot, to the right - two football players during a play. In the background - contours of Europe, the inscription along the rim divided by a dot: "ЧЕМПИОНАТ ЕВРОПЫ ПО ФУТБОЛУ 2000 г." (EUROPE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP of 2000).
