Vladimir Vladimirivich Mayakovsky (1893-1930) - a Russian poet, a leading representative of Russian futurism and innovator of poetic form (the poems "A Cloud in Trousers", "The Vertebrate Flute" and "Man"). He also wrote scathingly satirical plays and verses critical of the society infected with red tape, officialdom and hypocrisy.
