Reverse
in the centre of the disc – the relief portrait of Yakub Kolas dressed in shirt with ethnically ornamented embroidery, to the left and to the right of it – dates: "1882" and "1956", along the rim below – semicircular inscriptions, to the left: "ЯКУБ" (YAKUB), to the right: "КОЛАС" (KOLAS).

Yakub Kolas (Konstantin Mikhailovich Mickiewicz, (1882-1956), - a Byelorussian writer , National Poet of Byelorussia (1926), the member (1928) and vice president (1929) of the Byelorussian Academy of Sciences. His collected poetries ("Songs of Captivity" and "Songs of Grief"), poems ("The New Land" and "Simon the Musician"), plays and stories are deeply rooted in national tradition.
