in the foreground - the detachment of armed riders going along a big river, in the background on the benches of the river - stylized images of ancient Russian cities marked with names: "Изборск" (Izborsk), "Новгород" (Novgorod), "Ладога" (Ladoga), "Белоозеро" (Beloоzero), "Ростов" (Rostov), "Муром" (Murom); on the broad stripe formed by the rim and a concentric circle line - the inscription going from the left to the down and to the right: "1150-ЛЕТИЕ ЗАРОЖДЕНИЯ РОССИЙСКОЙ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОСТИ" (1150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ORIGIN OF THE RUSSIAN STATEHOOD), on the upper part of the stripe - ornaments of sinuous lines.
