Results of provisional administration-conducted inspection of insurance company NIG-ROSENERGO, LTD

The provisional administration¹ to manage NIG-ROSENERGO, LTD (hereinafter, the Insurance Company) established that the Insurance Company’s management conducted operations to divert funds inter alia through granting imprest amounts and issuing loans to persons of dubious creditworthiness or knowingly unable to fulfil their obligations.

In addition to previously sent information, the Bank of Russia submitted information on the financial transactions suspected of being criminal offences that had been conducted by the Insurance Company’ officials to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for consideration and procedural decision-making.

¹ By its Order No. OD-2003, dated 3 December 2020, the Bank of Russia revoked the insurance licence of NIG-ROSENERGO, LTD. In view of this, by its Order No. OD-2004, dated 3 December 2020, the Bank of Russia changed the composition of the provisional administration, previously appointed by the Bank of Russia (Order No. OD-1974, dated 30 November 2020) following the suspension of the insurance licences.
