Bank of Russia approves Statistical Services Development Programme

The Bank of Russia publishes the Bank of Russia Statistical Services Development Programme in Macroeconomic Statistics for 2021–2025.

The document follows on and extends the Bank of Russia Statistical Services Strategy for 2016-2020 and outlines the aim, objectives, underlying principles and key focal areas in the regulator’s agenda for statistical services in macroeconomic statistics for the next five years.

The Programme was developed based on future needs for data in the context of ever-growing demand for data in the digital era. Considered were related strategic documents of outside parties and the Bank of Russia, requirements of advanced international standards, trends in the evolution of statistical studies, and new solutions in place at central banks across the globe.
