Finopolis 2016 gives awards to winners in FinTech Startups Contest
More than 170 applications were received for the contest announced this June by the Bank of Russia. The contest committee has selected 17 most promising and interesting projects. They were presented to a wide range of financial market participants during the days of the Forum in the FinTech Startups Alley.
The winners in the contest were announced on the last day of the Finopolis 2016 Forum.
The 3-million ruble grant and the mentor support of the Senior Vice President for Digital Business Development of Sberbank of Russia PJSC Mikhail Ehrenburg were awarded to the startup Oz Photo Expert specialising in the express analysis and identification of electronic fake documents and photos.
The 2-million ruble grant and the mentor support of the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Finam Investment Holding Viktor Remsha was given to the startup Farzoom which works on solutions based on open APIs in order to assess bank customer behaviour scenarios and, using them, to make assumptions on specific bank products which might be of interest to such customers.
The 1-million ruble grant and the mentor support of the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Almaz Capital Investment Fund Alexandr Galitsky were given to the startup Brainysoft which elaborates tools in SaaS mode for the immediate assessment of customer quality in the online banking and in the MFI segment.
When addressing the audience, the winners said that participation in the contest had helped them to get the most valuable feedback from the representatives of the target market and also to set up contacts with potential partners and investors.
