Inflation expectations decrease in April

According to InFOM’s survey, households’ estimates of inflation expected in a year edged down from 11.5% in March 2024 to 11.0% in April. Inflation expectations among respondents without savings declined, while those among respondents with savings remained nearly the same.
Households’ long-term inflation expectations for the next five years went down as well, namely to 9.8%. The consumer sentiment index dropped slightly but stayed elevated. Companies raised their price expectations.
