News

In 2023 Q2, 420,000 individuals became unit holders of unit investment funds (UIFs), thus making it more than nine million people overall.

The net inflow of funds has increased by one-third vs 2023 Q1 and amounted to ₽242.2 billion. The greater part of the inflow still were closed-end UIFs worth over ₽194 billion.

Demand for retail funds has also increased. UIFs has become popular with retail investors largely due to the high yields on these funds over the past three quarters and the expanded offer as well. Open-end UIFs with a regular payment of dividends, which became available in the market last year, are in high demand.

In 2023 Q2, the weighted average yield on open-end UIFs equalled 10.6% per annum and that on close-end UIFs grew to 23.9% per annum.

More details are available in the Review of Key Indicators of Unit Investment Funds for 2023 Q2.
