Sochi to host FINOPOLIS-2017
FINOPOLIS, an innovative financial technology forum organised by the Bank of Russia, will take place on 5-6 October in Sochi. Registration for participants opens today on the forum site – www.finopolis.ru.
‘FINOPOLIS has previously been twice held in the Republic of Tatarstan, where both times, the host staged an event of the highest possible standard. We have noted a strong interest in the topics of the forum, both at the federal and regional level. This is why we believe it is important that the forum's reach be extended; this year, we intend to hold the event in a new venue: the Main Media Centre in Sochi. This way, we will be able to offer better opportunities to the forum participants, partners and speakers and diversify its program to include, among other things, a special youth day as well as successfully hold the annual fintech startup competition ’, notes Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia Olga Skorobogatova.
This annual forum is expected to become an integral platform to enable professional discussion of various aspects of digital technology in financial markets among public authorities, financial, IT sector and expert community representatives, to showcase new solutions and opportunities and explore global fintech trends.
FINOPOLIS-2017 key speakers will include Elvira Nabiullina - Governor of the Bank of Russia; Brett King - futurologist, author of books on banking and CEO of Moven; David Birch, director of innovation at Consult Hyperion, as well as major Russian and international financial and IT company executives.
Please refer to the forum site for further details of the event, its agenda and participants.
